Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a semester or annual Wash & Fold plan through our website or the “My Laundry” mobile app, you agree to read and understand our terms regarding subscription renewals and accept these terms, conditions, limitations, and requirements. All semester and annual plans purchased through our website or the “My Laundry” mobile app are automatically set to auto-renew the next semester or academic year. Please read the following:

Account Holder(s) – the individual and linked individual(s) that have accounts created within our website or the “My Laundry” mobile app with active plans.

Renewal Date and Cost: All Wash & Fold plans automatically renew into the subsequent term in which the plan was purchased.

  • A semester plan will renew into the subsequent semester (For example – a Fall plan will renew on the first day of class for the following Spring semester).
  • An annual plan will renew the subsequent academic year (For example – an annual plan purchased this year will renew on the first day of class for the following year).

**Changes in Prices of Subscription Plans: We may change our semester and annual plans and the price of our service from time to time; however, any price changes to subsequent plans will apply no earlier than 30 days following notice to the account holders.

Reminders of Auto-Renewals: The account holders are responsible for ensuring accurate contact information is used upon account creation. Each account holder will be notified via email within 15-30 days of their current plan renewal. Failure to take any outlined cancelation instructions/actions within the disclosed timeframe will result in your plan being renewed and the payment method on file being charged without a refund.

How to Cancel: You may opt out of auto-renewal up until the day your subsequent starts. Cancelations can be requested within the “My Laundry” consumer app OR by contacting Guest Care through help.tidecleaners.com OR following the instructions/actions within the auto-reminder email once received.

Wash & Fold: Wash & Fold bag contents are washed, dried, folded, packaged, and returned in your Wash & Fold bag. Medium/dark colors are washed in cold and whites in warm; all clothes are dried on medium heat. While Tide Cleaners makes every effort to sort misplaced garments, we are not responsible for damages to non-washable clothing received in Wash & Fold bags. Check your care labels on garments before placing them in your bundle bag to ensure it can go through a wash, dry, and fold process (Bundle Service). No Sharing of Wash & Fold Plans. Tide Cleaners gives one warning; at second offense Tide Cleaners cancels plan (without refund) and notifies school. While Tide Cleaners makes every attempt to detect and remove foreign objects from pockets or compartments, Tide Cleaners does not guarantee its success in doing so. Furthermore Tide Cleaners is not responsible for damage to clothing or to the foreign object resulting from our process. Objects found are returned no matter what the value.

Dry Clean Only Plan: Each piece is dry cleaned or laundered according to garment care labels and accepted industry practice. Contents submitted in the Dry Clean bag are cleaned, pressed, packaged & returned on hangers or in the bag.

Dry Clean Preloads: Preloads can be used for any items in the Dry Clean bag. The free portion of the preload expires at the end of the service period, while the remainder stays on the account for four years. No refunds are given for unused preload balances.

FREE TRIALS: Customers that sign up during an offer that has free trial are all subject to the rest of these terms. Dry Cleaning and/or launder and press (items from the black Dry Clean bag) are not included unless its specifically called out as “free dry cleaning”. You need to start your free trial before the offer expires, but it is ok if your trial continues past the end date (as long as your first use was before the expiration date). You‘ll be contacted about adding a credit card, because we‘re confident that life without laundry is greater than life with laundry. You will not owe anything unless you a) go over your 20lbs within a week, or b) use service after your trial, or c) you turn in clothing in your black bag. Your service schedule, method of reporting damages, and billing cadence (monthly) falls under the terms above, matching our non-trial faculty and students.

MONTHLY PLAN STARTING DAY: Students can start service any day of the semester and will be billed on your first service day.

MONTHLY PLAN DOUBLE DOWN WEEKS: Students will get 2X the pounds of their plan without additional charges. This typically happens before a school break, allowing students to bring all of their laundry and have it cleaned before going home, without any risk of incurring an overage charge. Don‘t bring the laundry home, guys and gals, we‘re here for you.

Charges

Annual Plan Schools: Wash & Fold service is offered for purchase in semester or annual plans. Plan options include 10, 20 or 30 lb weekly provisions. If the bag weight exceeds the provision, the excess is charged at a market rate. Each use is a minimum of 5 lbs. Students who do not use Wash & Fold Service for one week can use double lbs for the following week, for a maximum of double plan weight no matter how many weeks are skipped. Use of Wash & Fold Service without a current plan triggers the purchase of a pro-rated semester 20lb bundled plan and will be, at minimum, subject to use charges. Wash & Fold Service is only available with selection of a service plan.

20lb-Only Schools: Wash & Fold service is offered for purchase in semester or annual plans for a 20lb weekly provision. If the bag weight exceeds the provision, the excess is charged at a market rate. Each use is a minimum of 5 lbs. Students who do not use Wash & Fold Service for one week can use double lbs for the following week, for a maximum of double weight no matter how many weeks are skipped. Use of Wash & Fold Service without a current plan constitutes a purchase of a pro-rated semester 20lb bundled plan and will be, at minimum, subject to use charges. Wash & Fold Service is only available with selection of a service plan.

Monthly Plan Schools: Wash & Fold service is offered for purchase in monthly, semester or annual plans. Plan options include 10, 20 or 30lb weekly provisions. If the bag weight exceeds the provision, the excess is charged at a market rate. Each use is a minimum of 5 lbs. Students who do not use Wash & Fold Service for one week can use double lbs for the following week, for a maximum of double weight no matter how many weeks are skipped. Use of bundled service without a current plan constitutes a purchase of a monthly 20lb bundled plan and will be, at minimum, subject to use charges. Wash & Fold Service is only available with selection of a service plan.

20lb-Only Monthly Plan Schools: Wash & Fold service is offered for purchase in monthly, semester or annual plans for a 20lb weekly provision. If the bag weight exceeds the provision, the excess is charged at a market rate. Each use is a minimum of 5 lbs. Students who do not use Wash & Fold Service for one week can use double lbs for the following week, for a maximum of double weight no matter how many weeks are skipped. Use of Wash & Fold Service without a current plan constitutes a purchase of a pro-rated semester 20lb bundled plan and will be, at minimum, subject to use charges. Wash & Fold Service is only available with selection of a service plan.

DRY CLEANING CHARGED SEPARATELY: Items turned in your Black Bag and are meant to be Dry cleaned or laundered and pressed. These items are charged individually at the end of each month.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS: Any order turned in containing potentially hazardous materials (ex. plate of spaghetti, tons of mud, or vomit), or a quantity of soil that requires extra processing will result in a $15 Heavy Duty charge per instance / soiled garment requiring extra processing.

PAYMENT/DELINQUIENT ACCOUNTS: Account balances are charged monthly to the Credit Card given at registration. Invalid cards require prompt monthly payment or late fees apply until balance is current. 30-day overdue accounts may result in the withholding of clothes until bill is paid in full. Tide Cleaners employs collection agencies and notifies credit bureaus for accounts in extreme delinquency.

SERVICE CHANGES/NOTIFICATIONS & ACCOUNT INFORMATION: Due to the fluid logistics of collegiate campuses (events, holidays, finals) Tide Cleaners may need to adjust service hours, locations, or article pricing. Notification to students and/or parents occurs via email, phone, USPS, or combined efforts. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of account information on file, including but not limited to student‘s current mobile, permanent home phone, student‘s email, parent‘s email, and permanent home address. Tide Cleaners is not responsible for missed notifications or service announcements from invalid contact information.

PICKUP & DELIVERY: Tide Cleaners is not responsible for clothing (orders) before pickup or after delivery.

REPORTING: All claims (including missing/damaged items) must be reported within 14 days of the order‘s completion. Due to variations in fabrics and dyes Tide Cleaners cannot guarantee against color loss, bleeding, and shrinkage when following manufacturer‘s care instructions. We take additional steps to remove stains that are identified prior to processing, but Tide Cleaners cannot guarantee removal of existing stains. We try to remove and return items from pockets, but Tide Cleaners is not responsible for items left in clothing or any resulting damage. After a missing/damaged item claim is submitted within the acceptable timeframe, Tide Cleaners will take the actions necessary to locate/repair/reprocess the missing/damaged item(s). In the event that we are unsuccessful in doing so within 10 business days, we will move forward with reimbursement for said missing/damaged item(s). Refund or credit limits when Tide Cleaners is responsible for loss or damage are: $150 any one bundled item, $400 any total bundled claim, $200 any one Laundered or Dry Cleaned item, and $600 any total Laundry or Dry Cleaning order.

CREDIT: Damage and complimentary credits expire at end of academic year. Gift certificates expire the earlier date on the Gift Certificate or end of academic year. CHANGE OF SERVICE credits expire at end of original service plan. Overpayments post as credits to account and remain until a refund request.

CANCELATION or CHANGE IN SERVICE: Service Plans are cancelled or changed in the following ways: 1.) by submitting a completed Change in Service Form (Form CIS.01) to the Central Office via fax, email, or USPS. 2.) calling our central office at (888) 590-WASH. 3.) Emailing our customer service team at support@tidecleaners.com. Change or cancellation is not processed at truck locations. Parents and Students, not Tide Cleaners, are responsible for communicating any changes.

SEMESTER & ANNUAL PLAN REFUND POLICY: We are committed to your complete satisfaction. If you are not satisfied you may cancel during the first 30 days (Trial Period) for a prorated credit or refund, less a $20 cancellation fee. Prorating begins the date of cancellation, not the date of last-used service. The Trial Period begins when service is requested or classes start (the latter). Students are not refunded for under-usage of services from prior weeks. No refunds are issued after the Trial Period, but bundled laundry payments may convert to dry cleaning credits. No refunds are given for unused preload balances. If a customer cancels service on or before start date and has not received a bag, a full refund is issued.

MONTHLY PLAN REFUND POLICY: You are free to cancel at any time, as your purchase is pre-paying for 4 weeks of service. After cancellation, we will no longer charge your card, but past charges will not be refunded. Any paid weeks of unused service can be used as a credit for a future week of bundle cleaning, dry cleaning credit, or gifted to another customer. Like Netflix, you might as well enjoy the rest of the month‘s service you paid for. No refunds are given for unused preload balances. If a customer cancels service on or before start date and has not received a bag, a full refund is issued.

UNCLAIMED ORDERS: Any laundry orders not picked up within 120 days will be donated.
